1st thing make sure when you get pulled over let the officer do all the talking, whatever you say can be used against you trust me I know 1st hand.

Be polite and let him do his job, the less you say the less he will have as a written statement. if he ask you do you know how fast you were going tell him no you dont.. dont admit to anything let him provide all the information.

After you leave review the ticket make sure everything is correct.

get home and either call or write in and request the officers statment, this will be his insite of what happened.

If he states he got you on radar make sure on the officers statment is say HE calibrated the device TODAY at the BEGINNING, MIDDLE and the END of his shift ! make sure it states he/she is certified in the tuning of that radar. I have gotten out of many tickets just because the officer does not complete the full statment.. Also if you request the officer to appear if he does not show then the ticket is dismissed.. also in Washingron the Officer has 11 Calendar days to submit his ticket in..or they throw it out !

Now as far as those traffic cameras that take a picture of your car when you run a light, or do a California stop...Here is what you need to do!

When you get your lovley ticket in the mail fill it out and dispute it.... In Washington State it is only a parking Violation and does not go on your driving record YET !!!! I hear they are trying to get that to happen I dont think they will get that far?

The best thing to do anytime you get a tickent and your going to fight it is to show up early to the court house, sit in on the prior court cases, see how the judge is ruleing for the day? This gives you a better idea what aveunue to go. Stay calm relax and let the Judge do all the talking once again. They can not prove it was you that was driving that car... I would say 9 times out of 10 unless you have a tone of tickets it will be DISMISSED or reduced... Keep in mind that you are entitled to 1 Deferment every 7 years only on a TRAFFIC VIOLATION not parking tickets.
